Tantra 2.0: Modern Interpretations of an Ancient Yoga Kindle Edition
Few years ago, I practiced Yoga under a Tantrik Guru which motivated me to write this book. I went from doing research in Molecular Biology to Journalism and finally ended up in Instructional Design and Learning Consultancy. However, my interest in the Science of Consciousness persisted and grew. Over 25 years of writing (as a Journalist and then as a Learning Consultant), puts me in a unique position to write about Tantra from a scientific and psychological perspective.
I present Tantra 2.0, not as a reinvention of Tantra, but as a simple guide to the its practice and meaning. I have stayed away from "divinity" and "spirituality" as much as possible because of their vagueness and abuse in prevalent literature. I have also stayed away from symbolism, as it is irrelevant in our technological times.
For example, what symbolic meaning does the lotus plant convey to you? It conveys nothing to me! Similarly, if the symbolic artifacts of Yantras and Mandalas are not existing in your socio-cultural context, then they are of no use in the comprehension and practice of Tantra. I have tried hard to make this book understandable to the modern, urban human. I have avoided references to esoteric interpretations, highlighted the garbage that Google spews out, and pointed out the fatalistic and dehumanizing nature of religious ideology.

About the author

Chaitanya Prabhu Hakkaladaddi was Editor & Publisher of Debonair magazine for 7 years before entering the world of e-learning. Almost immediately, he came across Howard Gardner’s Multiple Intelligences Theory in an online course from Harvard Graduate School of Education. This opened up many possibilities for him in the Instructional Design space, helping him co-develop the Story Based Learning (StoBL) methodology when he was with Tata Interactive Systems (now MPS Interactive Systems) and envision many innovative learning solutions when he moved to Cognizant.
Chaitanya has developed a considerable number of training programs for multinational companies, schools, universities, and international organizations ranging from Qantas and Royal Mail (UK) to Pfizer and AT&T to educational consortiums catering to US School Districts.
He was a Learning Consultant in the US for companies such as Procter & Gamble, General Electric, Caterpillar, and was also on deputation to the United Nations (UNFPA) in New York.
For the last 8 years, he has been creating immersive learning solutions for Multiple Intelligences Homeschool — an institution that fosters homeschooling and guides parents interested in genuine education. During this time, he has also been homeschooling his two daughters.
Chaitanya continues to have a strong interest in the Science of Consciousness, Existentialism, Evolutionary Theories, and Tantra Yoga. He recently published Tantra 2.0: Modern Interpretations of an Ancient Yoga in which he combines Science of Consciousness with Tantra Yoga. This book is available on Amazon in paperback and Kindle versions.

- Reviewed in India on 14 December 2022I am writing this review in excitement of knowing something which was hidden till now from me, atleast in this world. Where we have lots of TV shows, and mouth to mouth stories, I never had an opportunity to reveal what this book revealed for me. All thanks to chaitanya sir. And the introduction round was good enough to explain about tantra in just 1000 words , as told by you also.
- Reviewed in India on 29 December 2022Are the tattvas really qualia. The Western approach to qualia and the Indian Tantric system of tattvas have rather different descriptions and explanations. I am not sure if qualia and tattvas are the same. Otherwise, this is an interesting approach to investigating Indian systems of philosophy.
- Reviewed in India on 28 January 2023Truly, this book is full of Modern Interpretations of an Ancient Yoga!
Thanks to the Auther
This Book is Truly Helpful to me..
- Reviewed in India on 28 January 2023Book su full of very useful information. Great effort at bringing a 4000 year old system of philosophy into this day and age
- Reviewed in India on 27 December 2022I quite liked the many references to modern Western Science. Tantra and Yoga spoke of body clocks and rhythms long before Western Science discovered them. Happy to find such information in this book.
- Reviewed in India on 14 December 2022I love reading books, especially books based on real-life experiences,
And Sir. Chaitanya did the job for me.
I found it very useful to have insights about Tantra (or Black/white magic).
- Reviewed in India on 30 December 2020I just read the introduction and am already wowed by the simplicity and straightforwardness of the writer. Can’t wait to read the rest...
